Harry Kane states Tottenham have not heard from their errors once they threw away a 2-0 lead against Olympiakos in the Champions League.
Despite contributing through Kane’s punishment and the strong finish of Lucas Moura , last season’s beaten finalists were held to a 2-2 draw in Greece.
“You can see why the manager is frustrated,” stated England forward Kane.
“He’s been here for five decades now and we are still making similar mistakes as we had been the first year.”
Tottenham also conceded a 2-0 lead at the north London derby at Arsenal on 1 also Kane said the team had to upgrade.
“We are not young any more, we’re not inexperienced, we’ve played in big games for club and country,” he added.
“We have to attempt to find a means to get around it and also improve and make better. That’s all we could attempt to do.”
Disputed his team’s attitude. His side’s next match in Team B is in the home to German champions Bayern Munich on 1 October.
“In the beginning of this year we’re conceding a great deal of opportunities and a lot of goals and we need to alter this,” said the Argentine.
“The only way we could change is being more demanding from ourselves. That’s the way we are likely to approach days that are different and be consistent.
“Training needs to be harder. Feeling harder.
“I’m really disappointed. From the first half, I still was not happy with our performance. From the start we had a plan and we didn’t respect the strategy.
“That is what disappointed me most and that’s what I told the players at half-time.”
Former Tottenham midfielder Michael Brown added on BBC Radio 5 live:”I stated last year that Spurs had done exceptionally well but unfortunately they’re just not likely to be able to maintain Liverpool and Manchester City, and that’s still the situation. They’re just not in exactly the exact same level.
“They have got some excellent individuals but as a team collectively, this keeps occurring – that they keep slipping upward and conceding aims at the incorrect time.
“We’re being critical of Spurs and where they’ve come from, but they’ve got this brand new stadium and a few great players. Can they keep progressing rather than be this selling club?”
