Miami Marlins at Atlanta Braves MLB Pick – August 22nd

As we are formally again, the wins just keep coming. Last nights winner was sixth win in our last eight bets, a sizzling 75 percent -speed on the week. And they didnt also make us work for this backed the Washington Nationals over the line, at a very attractive +103, last night, and the game was a blowout, as expected. The Nationals are currently also leading the National League in runs and that I anticipated them to hammer Pirates starter Joe Musgrove, and thats just what occurred.
Washington scored six runs to jump out to a commanding lead, and the rest of the way out coasted. Even the Nats played add-on afterwards, and by the time that this game was all said and done, Washington walked away with all the 11-1 victory, and our pet money ticket was cashed by us. Washington has scored double runs.
Today, this team has been hitting the ball better than every team from the league, although I dont understand where this creation has been hiding at all year long. The Nats kept pace with the Atlanta Braves who also won yesterday and remain six matches in the National League East Division for first place. For the choice of today, well check in on these Braves, as we visit Atlanta in which the Braves host the Marlins.
The Miami Marlins have been in Atlanta Thursday attempting to prevent the sweep in game three of a three-game set. This series has not been competitive to this stage because the Braves took both of the initial games . For Miami, as their creation has truly fallen off here in August, they are praying to end at this point. Miami is a significant league-worst 3-15 within their past eighteen games.
For Atlanta, as the Washington Nationals are hot in their heels in the NL East Division, the Braves are expecting to complete the sweep. The Braves have won seven out of the past nine games, including series wins over the Mets and Dodgers and have been one of the greatest teams in the league.
Beginning tonight to get the Braves is Mike Soroka (10-2 2.41 ERA), and for the Marlins it is Sandy Alcantara (4-11 4.35 ERA). The match is placed at two and a half conducts. The Braves are large -275 home favorites. First pitch is scheduled for 4:20 PM PST in SunTrust Park at Atlanta.
Mike Soroka is an invaluable addition to this Braves starting rotation this season. After having a cup of java with the big-league team last year, making five starts, he has produced some results and has been a part of the rotation this year. His 2.41 ERA is great for second in the majors, supporting only Hyun-jin Ryu, and ahead of guys like Max Scherzer, Clayton Kershaw, and Jacob deGrom.
Soroka is simply another in a long run of rather youthful, and great players at Atlanta. The kid has had only one decision since April 18th! And when hes on the mound the Braves just seem to always triumph. Atlanta is this year 15-7 if Soroka starts.
In 3 starts this year, hes been unbelievably great against Miami. In those three begins, Soroka tossed a joint innings, never throwing fewer than seven innings in any one start and has allowed only one earned run. His ERA in those three starts? 0.41, the lowest against any team he has faced this season.
Sandy Alcantara is better than his record that is 4-11 might lead you to trust. Wins may be difficult to come by, when you play for the worst club in the league, however, Alcantara has done a job of throwing anyway. He has pitched really well here in August and made his first, no matter what ought to be many teams.
Last month, Alcantara has an ERA of merely 3.20 in three starts. This includes a powerful outing against these same Atlanta Braves where he worked giving up three runs and tossing two thirds and seven a few weeks back. Hes made a high excellent start, not or more, three runs or six innings . Together with the one hiccup coming from the Minnesota Twins, that may have the best lineup in all of baseball.
This amount is too large to actually think about taking Atlanta. Yesterday we watched so upsets can happen, the Detroit Tigers win a match against the Houston Astros where the Astros laid an ridiculous -500, but I do not see lightning striking here today. And I think this Marlins lineup wont have anything for Mike Soroka.
Soroka has owned them and I hope nothing but the same tonight. You can pencil him in now for seven-plus innings or function. When I examine Sandy Alcantara, I believe he is going to get a means to be adequate. He wont close down the Braves, not many people do, but I still do not see him getting blasted.
So, when I look at the match total, I see worth on the under two and a half runs. If one of the teams does not score, Its extremely hard for a game to hit double-digits. And the Marlins just are not going to place runs on the board tonight. The question is, will Alcantara be great enough to get crushed but not ruined? And I believe that answer is yes.
We watched two weeks back if Alcantara pitched well against the Braves that he can manage their firepower, along with with all the Braves as prohibitive favorites to win the match, they should have a wholesome lead late, and wont have to bat in the bottom of the ninth. Little details like the fact that the Braves will just get eight innings and then push this game to the over, need to be assessed.
I see Atlanta winning going away and carrying an early lead. Something in the array of 5-1 Atlanta sounds about right. Give me the and tonight in game three runs from SunTrust Park!
